Fireworks is double-celebration

This years fireworks will be brought by Kemppi Ltd and Ilotulitus Ltd. Both companys are celebrating their 60th anniversary this year.Fire works will take place on Saturday evening after HS team competition.

Planetarium for kids

Kids corner also have FIVE STAR -events. Local astronomy association bring movable planetarium to Kid Corner. Inside the planetarium children can see slideshows of  Milky Way and different planets. Shows take place every exect hour during Kids Corner opening times.

Jussi Seljas on bike again

FMX-driver Jussi Seljas is loose again. Last year Jussi was in Lahti Ski Games with his friends from Red Bull X-Fighters. Last year he thought, how it would feel to go higher the ski jumping hill than he was allowed to… maybe this year we will see. Watch trailer

Jonna Tervomaa and national treasures

New version of Finnish national anthem will be presented in Lahti for the first time. The song won´t replace our traditonal anthem, but it is made in modern, tuned way. YLE TV 2 will shoot the programme from Lahti Ski Stadium as Ms Jonna Tervomaa performes.

Axl Smith, international MTV Dj will host the Saturday evening. He will entertain audience in ski jumping stadium during ski jumping team competition and additional events.

Ladies´s celebration on Sunday

1000 first ladies to arrive to Lahti Ski Games on Sunday will be handed a rose as part of International Women´s Day that takes place on 8.3.2009.
