76.500 spectators during the weekend
Lahti Ski Games attracted 76.500 spectators. Friday 7,500, Saturday day competitions 19.000, evening 35.000 and Sunday 15.000 spectators.

Norwegians were at their best in Salpausselkä this year. They won five different competitions.
Also Hannu Manninen made the Finnish crowd happy by becoming second and first in Nordic Combined.
Simon Ammann won the HS 130 Ski Jump in Lahti this Sunday. Ammann got 284,4 points and he beat Adam Malysz by 10,1 points. Third place went to Thomas Morgenstern, who got 272,4 points.

Simen Oestensen from Norways’s Team 2 was extremely glad after men’s Cross Country relay on Sunday. The reason was obvious: Norway’s Team 2 came first and Team 1 was second just behind the winners.
Norway took a double victory in men’s Cross Country relay on Sunday. Norway’s Team Two won and their time was 1.27:43. Norway’s Team One was second, only 0.2 seconds behind their own country men. Team Germany was third. They were also very close to the winner, only 0.5 seconds behind.

Marit Bjoergen was satisfied with both Team Norway’s achievement and the tracks in Lahti.
- It was a wonderful skiing from our team. We all did a great job and I had a nice position to compete for the victory as an anchor. The tracks were in a great shape and this weather, I can’t praise it enough.

Evi Sachenbacher Stehle was truly happy after the Cross Country relay on Sunday. Her team (GER) was second right after Team Norway, only one second behind.
