The President of Finland, Tarja Halonen has approved to act as a guardian of 85th Lahti Ski Games in March.
Her office will inform later, if President Halonen will be able to attend the Games on site.
Last year Eurosport had a separate area for the public service within the programme tent. Plans for this year will be even greater when as the whole tent will be named Eurosport Arena. Eurosport Arena tent offers food and drinking services, live performances, athletes inteviews, and several Eurosport Hours.
During Eurosport Hours host Tommy Rundgren interviews athletes and other experts. There will also be another kind of activity like contests and games (Nintendo Wii). At the Eurosport Arena it is also possible to follow the live broadcast of Eurosport.

Ticket sales will speed up with Menolippu and their digital event marketing will be a great benefit for the Lahti Ski Games. Decisions made at FIS Calendar Conference in Cavtat-Dubrovnik.
Lahti will host diffenrent diciplines in cross country next year as cross country diciplines are pursuit and relays.
This way Lahti is now able to test new cross country tracks that have been renewed during the past few years.
Programme in Lahti Ski Games 2010:
2 Nordic Combined competitions (individual)
3 Ski Jumping competitions ( individual, team and Youth)
4 cross country competitions ( ladies and men, pursuit and relays)
Lahti Ski Games will be held for the 85th time next year. Competition dates are 5.-7.3.2010.
This time Lahti Ski Games welcomes all new Olympic champions. Lahti will host first World Cup events after Vancouver Olympic Games 12.-28.2.2010.
